Twitter Will Double Character Count In Tweets During Test Trial
Twitter (TWTR) is doubling the number of characters it will allow in tweets to 280, currently available “to a small group” of users, the company said in a blog post. Although we feel confident about our data and the positive impact this change will have, we want to try it out with a small group of people before we make a decision to launch to everyone,” the Twitter blog post said.
“We will be collecting data and gathering feedback along the way,” it said. “We’re hoping fewer tweets run into the character limit, which should make it easier for everyone to tweet.” Twitter has been hinting at a character-limit increase for more than a year. The original limit of 140 characters was used because that’s how much room was available in SMS text message at the time, not including the user’s name. Twitter shares were up 2.25, near 16.95, during after-hours trading in the stock market today.
Twitter Refuses to Take Down Trump’s ‘Newsworthy’ Tweet
Twitter (TWTR ) has refused to take down one of Donald Trump’s tweet despite it appearing to be in violation of Twitter’s policy. Over the weekend, Trump took to Twitter to say North Korea “won’t be around much longer!” The tweet seems to be in breach of the social media company’s policy that users “may not make threats of violence or promote violence, including threatening or promoting terrorism.”
North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho called the tweet a declaration of war stating that, following Trump’s tweet, “we will have every right to make countermeasures”. Twitter defended the decision to keep Trump’s remark online by stating the tweet is of public interest and claimed it will update its public-facing rules in the near future to reflect its “internal policy”.
Today's Trading Lesson
The most common question I receive is about order flow versus momentum…
“How do you know when one starts and one ends?”
The chart of CMA below offers a great lesson by showing the stock alternating between momentum and order flow. The simplest explanation I can provide is that order flow happens over time, momentum is recent price action.
So what does this mean for your next trade. Well first spotting order flow versus momentum influences your trade expectation. The more obvious the order flow, the more real money committed by the institutions. This means they are in for the long trade. They are “keeping a bid” under the stock.
This means you can expect pull-backs and breakout to hold. And you can expect follow through. You can hold the trades longer, or even add to them.
Momentum is different. Institutions have not yet made the bigger commitment. == .. And neither should you. Less time means less money in the stock. As your stock moves between momentum and order flow, you adjust your trades, based on that stage.

Today's Trade of the Day | 9-27-17
BA-Boeing traded a solid bullish momentum, good for a $20 move. Today's trade is not a trend trade, but an expansion in volatility play. Game planning a breakout of the inside day and looking for a trend day to hold to the close. This means the play can either be long or short, a one day play, a breakout of the first 30 minutes is the trigger. Day trade only.
