How to Trade BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY) Stock Around Q4 Earnings
BlackBerry Q4 earnings are up Friday, and while the fundamentals are in flux, we can trade the price action in BBRY stock
BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is far, far removed from its heyday of being a dominant smartphone provider. Most high-profile personalities had a BlackBerry, touting two points of interest: security, and the iconic physical keyboard. However, BBRY stock is far separated from hardware at this point.

On the Tape Today | 3-31-17
MOMO | Momo Inc breaks $35 again, the question is will it hold. Game planning a $36 buy-stop, I want the stock price to prove it can hold the bid. If filled, target to sell @ $41, stop loss on a close below $35.
SLB Schlumberger showing solid bearish order flow and setting up a short-sale with a target to cover @ $74. Game planning a sell-stop @ $77.50 and a stop loss on a close above $78.25.
Tape Reading the SPY ETF
$SPY price action generated a light 55 million shares, again…
The stock market melted higher the last three days as volume decreased. If you’re finding this tape challenging to trade, you’re not alone. Hard to have conviction right now.
So what does that mean?
It means you learn from it. When you learn order flow, your income flows, it’s actually easy. The lesson here? Learn when to NOT trade. It’s just as important as when to trade aggressive.
The current trading requires stock picking skills, trading the right stocks, being in the right sectors. So many of us rely on the general market to give us a bias. The market internals too, such as the TRIN, the TICK and the VIX. They don’t help much when the market offers light volume.
But there’s a lesson there too.
Study this market, learn from it, don’t complain. Know when to be in cash because when the trading gets better, you will be in position to get paid.
