Why Apple (AAPL) Is The Biggest Winner Of Trump’s Infrastructure Plan

Ever since the election, traders have been trying to determine which stocks are in the best position to benefit from President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for $1 trillion in infrastructure spending over the next decade.

Apple Market Cap Nearly Three Quarters Of $1 Trillion

Apple’s (AAPL) market cap sits at $734 billion, as its shares have passed an all-time high of $141. A number of analysts believe that figure will go to $160, or higher. Apple is likely to be worth three-quarters of $1 trillion within the next several weeks, if not days.

Apple has posted a better share price growth this year than any other component of the Dow, up 20.9%. The Dow is higher by 5.3% to 20,915

Here’s how Apple could leapfrog Snapchat and make the next iPhone a must-have

With an IPO under its belt this month, Snapchat has cleared its first major hurdle. If Apple’s smart, the next one should be in June.

That’s Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, and the stakes are high to unveil something great to accompany 10th anniversary iPhone. I’m not saying that Apple should recreate Snapchat — it doesn’t have to.

By creating a better version of just one Snapchat feature — messaging — Apple could siphon potential Snap customers into iMessage and revive interest in the iPhone brand.

Apple to Open 2 New Research Centers in China (AAPL)

Apple Inc. (AAPL) is doubling down on its largest overseas market. According to reports, the Cupertino, California-based company is building two new research centers in China at a total cost of $500 million.

The two centers will open later this year and be situated in Shanghai and Suzhou. They bring the total number of Apple research centers in China to four, as the company had announced centers in Beijing and Shenzhen last year.

Apple Dividend: Is a Big Increase Coming Soon?

With its stock price on the rise, the tech titan may put more emphasis on dividend growth when it updates its capital return program next month.

Five years ago today, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced plans to start paying a dividend for the first time since 1995. Since then, Apple has raised its dividend at a steady but relatively modest pace.

Meanwhile, Apple’s original $10 billion share repurchase plan (announced at the same time) has morphed into a massive $175 billion share buyback program over the past few years.

How Successful Traders Think

Download this free 19 page e-book today and join me as I review an email from a struggling trader and give some advice on how to get back on track.

Today’s Trading Lesson…

Today’s education comes from our podcast Six-Figure Trading  and we touch on something that is an urgent issue that doesn’t get enough attention.

The conversation starts something like this, “I know everything, but can’t make money…”

“I see the patterns, I understand the routing, I understand the setups, and I understand risk/reward. I’m looking at everything, I know everything exactly what I’m supposed to be looking at, and I’m just not converting it into money.

And then the emails that we get as a follow-up are basically insinuating, I got stopped out of my ideas today, and I’m probably the only person on Wall Street who got stopped out of my ideas.

And I want to get to the point where you have some sort of a framework or a thought process or a structure to help you get the results that you want, crossing that abyss to consistency.”

$SPY 3-20-17

$SPY 3-20-17

Tape Reading the SPY ETF

$SPY price action forming a classic potential change of trend pattern.

I don’t normally include news into technical analysis, but the stock market sold bullish news twice in the last two weeks. Combine that with a gap lower, and close on the lows, the bulls have some work to establish a new leg higher.

This analysis does not imply a top, it explicitly says the long trade has lost it’s bite. Which means you need to bone up on your sector rotation and stock picking skills.

Mr. Market won’t bail you out on lazy ideas. It’s time to put on your overalls and find trades. It’s time to “work the keyboard” as we say in private coaching.

A potential change of trend separates the real traders from the get rich quick dreamers. It’s time to show patience, not over trade and work hard for your money. For bullish traders to get that conviction back, the $240 levels needs to be penetrated with a few “well-bid” days.

$236 in the $SPY emerges as the level you need to know. If that support breaks with a plus 100 million share day, and the $VIX bounces, don’t move your stop-loss.

Exit the long and get back into cash.
