Apple expected to unveil iPhone 7 on Sept. 7
Apple Inc. will likely release its next-generation iPhones and provide other hardware and software updates when it hosts an event at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
Many analysts expect the new phones to trigger a fresh upgrade cycle for the company, which follows two straight quarters of year-over-year sales declines for Apple’s biggest moneymaker.
How Apple’s stock tends to trade around its September event
Apple’s stock has historically risen 4% in the weeks after the event
Apple Inc.’s stock historically trades lower leading into its flagship September hardware event, then rebounds leading up to the next-generation iPhone’s actual launch a few weeks later, according to an analysis from UBS.
The data, which reflects historical short-term stock performance around Apple’s AAPL, +0.39% product announcements, shows the stock increased an average of 4% from the early-September event to launch for the iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.
What to Expect From Apple’s September 7 Event

$TIF still looking for a spot to bid. Have not got caught guessing as it trades below the open. Stick with it, should be today. Look for yesterday's low to be a spot to buy.
$DIS continues to remain in the short sale list. A bearish trend day yesterday on a day the market closed near the highs. $93 sell stop.

U.S. stock futures wobble as traders wait for more Fed clues
Traders eagerly wait for Apple product launch
U.S. stock futures struggled for direction on Wednesday, as investors waited for more clues on the future path of U.S. interest rates with a duo of Federal Reserve speakers and a report on economic conditions on tap.
Investors were also eagerly waiting for a product announce by Apple Inc. later in the day, where the tech giant is expected to unveil a new iPhone.
Traders may get more clues on the Fed’s view on rates this morning, when Richmond Fed President Jeffrey Lacker and Kansas City Fed President Esther George testify at the House Financial Services panel on ‘Governance, Monetary Policy and Economic Performance’ at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Nasdaq Closes At New All-Time High
Nasdaq Hits Record, Led By Facebook, But Apple Lags Ahead Of iPhone 7
The major market indexes closed higher Tuesday with the Nasdaq hitting a record high right at the bell as Facebook (FB) hit a new high, but Apple (AAPL) dipped ahead of its big media event.
The Nasdaq posted an all-time closing high Tuesday but couldn’t break free from recent sideways action on the stock chart.
Among top-rated stocks, action was more robust. Stocks posting new highs included China-based online marketer Alibaba (BABA), Boston-based cloud software provider LogMeIn (LOGM), China-based online gaming provider NetEase (NTES), China-based internet portal Sina (SINA) and California-based telecom play Lumentum (LITE).
Two leaders broke out. Social network operator Facebook (FB) cleared a 128.43 buy point, while entertainment software provider Activision Blizzard (ATVI) took out a 43.15 buy point.
Tape Reading the SPY ETF
$SPY closed hear the highs and near all-time highs.
Is this new buying or simply a lack of sellers? Common question but the wrong question.
I am reading a lot of articles like “the market is sideways,” and “no longer in an uptrend…” REALLY?
This sentiment is exactly why talented traders struggle. The trend is up. Stop guessing a top and be long.
Could it be a top? Yes. Is it a good short? No.
