Square falls 9% on concerns of ‘overlooked credit risk’
As payments start-up Square starts to act more like a traditional bank, one analyst is worried about its ability to handle the same credit risks.
Shares of the San Francisco-based company closed 8.5 percent lower Monday after BTIG analyst Mark Palmer raised concerns about its exposure to credit markets, which he says could be accelerated by its most recent small business lending product.
“The market appears to be overlooking any risks to the company’s business model, and credit risk in particular,” Palmer said in a note to clients Monday.

Today's Trade of the Day | 10-9-18
Interesting setup in TWTR Twitter Inc today. Although the stock remains in bearish order flow, we are calling for an explosion in volatility, but not calling direction. After 5 days in a tight trading range, I am game planning to set alerts at $27.75 or $29.25. Looking for a 2 day trade and exit on the close of the second day.
