Amazon Earnings Report Expected To Show Big Slowdown In Revenue Growth

Amazon will report fourth-quarter earnings after the market close Thursday during a transitional period for the e-commerce giant. Amazon stock was rising Wednesday.

Recent changes to Amazon’s third-party sales platform, in addition to regulations in India and global economic softness, could muddy near-term
revenue and margin guidance.

Netflix (NFLX) is battling Amazon Prime for consumers eager to stream hours of television and movies. (OK, most of us.) And Facebook (FB) and Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google face increasing competition from Amazon for online advertising dollars.
