Apple’s stock jumps to another record as post-earnings rally continues
Shares of Apple Inc. have returned to their record-setting ways, with the technology giant’s market capitalization getting a $56 billion boost in just a week since it reported earnings. The stock AAPL, +0.80% ran up $1.27, or 0.8%, to $160.08 on Tuesday, enough to make it the best percentage gainer among Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.15% components.
The price gain was added about 9 points to the price of the Dow, which 33 points to snap a 10 -session win streak. That marks the stock’s second-straight record close, and third record since Apple reported better-than-expected fiscal third-quarter profit and sales after the Aug. 1 close.

With a stock price that is up nearly 26% year to date, Wall Street is waiting with anticipation for the fall when Apple’s new line of products hit the shelves. With a history of people lining up for hours outside of stores and products selling out within hours, Apple has built a seemingly unshakable brand name.
iPhone 8 Leak ‘Confirms’ Apple’s Biggest Problems
iPhone 8 will look fantastic and all signs point to it being a runaway success, even if it costs the earth. But Apple AAPL +0.81% does have problems with its biggest redesign yet and they were just confirmed…
Predictably the source is acclaimed Apple insider KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo and in a new report obtained by MacRumors he has confirmed Apple faces both supply chain problems and design restrictions.
On the Tape Today | 8-9-17
UAL-United Contl. paused long enough after bearish momentum to consider a new short sale. Looking for a $67.25 sell stop to trigger a new entry. Minor support in the $64 area, my ultimate target to cover comes in at $ $56.50.
